I am in my seventh year at The College. My position had been as a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Mathematics and Computer Science Department. For the past few years I have been an Adjunct Professor in Mathematics and an Instructional Technology Specialist. One of my duties is to help students learn how to create e-portfolios such as this. I created this portfolio as a template for the Department of Education. The template makes use of a cascading style sheet, similar to the one used on this site, which I created and which resides in the Education Department's Web site. My intent was to allow students to focus on the content of their portfolio and not the formatting. I am also responsible for administering our course management software packages. We evaluated Moodle, Sakai, and CourseCompass (a BlackBoard implementation hosted by Pearson Publishing). These were possible replacements for our limited version of BlackBoard. We selected Moodle and have been using it for the past three years.
